Country Couples 'Go Blue' for Colon Cancer

Josh Turner and his wife and band member, Jennifer, along with Linda Davis and her singer-songwriter husband, Lang Scott, will perform at the third annual The Stars Go Blue benefit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on March 16. Proceeds from the event will go to the Blue Note Fund, which provides financial support for colon cancer patients in need of help as they go through treatment for the disease. Blue is the color of colon cancer, which is the reason behind the title of the event.

The theme of this year's show is "Couples in Country Music," and also performing is Stars Go Blue creator and producer-artist Charlie Kelley with his wife, GAC personality Nan Kelley. Charlie, who was once a member of the '90s country group Buffalo Club and has been playing guitar on the road with Jamie O'Neal and Laura Bell Bundy, was diagnosed and treated for colon cancer at the age of 40 in late 2008 -- just three weeks after his wife successfully completed treatment for a different form of cancer.
